CITY BAND CONCERT.

The Palmerston North City Band held a concert at the band rotunda in the Square on Sunday, before a large and appreciative audience, and were favoured with a flue, still evening which made conditions ideal for playing. The programme presented was as follows: —March, “Punjab”; hymn, “Deep Harmony” ; selection, “Balmoral” ; cornet polka (soloist, Sergeant J. Cosgrove), “The Cornet King”; selection, “Windermere”; hymn, “Abide With Me” ; waltz, “Garden Party” ; march, “Old Comrades.” J
