An anticyclone extends from Tasmania across the north Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate westerly winds, freshening at times and later backing to south-westerly. Weather: Mainly fair to cloudy, but some scattered light showers likely. Seas, moderate to rather rough. MANAWATU RIVER GAUGE. Noon.—4ft 3in.
