CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.

“Spirit” was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The Golden Text was from Psalms 25: 1,4: “Unto thee, O Lord, do 1 lift up my soul. Shew me Thy ways, 0 Lord; teadu me Thy paths.” Among the citations which comprised the Lesson-Sermon were the following from the Bible: “For thus said the high and lofty "One that inhabiteth eternity. Whose name'is Holy: 1 dwell in the’high and holy place, with Him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” (Isa. 57:15). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Alary Baker Eddy: “Christian Science attaches no physical nature and significance to the Supreme Being or His manifestation; mortals alone’do this. Spirit' blesses man, but man cannot ‘tell whence it comoth.’ By it the sick are healed, the sorrowing are comforted, and the sinning are reformed. These are the effects of one universal God, the invisible good dwelling in eternal Science.” (nn. 117, 78).
