Mr Fred Bryant, who recently returned from England, brought his sister with him. They, intend to make their home in this city. Canon G. Y. Woodward, vicar of All SaTiits’ Church, Palmerston North, is at present spending a holiday, with his family at Parnell, Auckland, but will return to conduct special services on Sunday in memory of the late lying. The senate of the New Zealand University has decided to nominate Dr H. G Denham, professor of chemistry at Canterbury College, for a Universities Bureau Fellowship. Dr Denham proposes to visit this year the main, universities in England and Scotland in which research in physics and chemistry is being actively pursued.
