Immediately the news of the do-nth of the King became known at Kimbolton yesterday the Kiwitea County Council adjourned for a quarter of an hour as a mark of respect to His Majesty. In Feilding the legal offices closed their premises and all local body and State offices hoisted flags at

half-mast. Later in the afternoon the Post Office staff commenced draping the Post Office in black and mauve in mourning for the King. All the bowling, tennis, athletic and other .sports in Feilding were postponed today.
