TALLOW AND . HEMP QUIET. The Department of Agriculture has re coivud the following cablegram, dated January 18, irom the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow:—Market very quiet on spot. Stocks in the United Kingdom at January 1, 9205 bales, against 24,881 bales at the same time last year. Sisal : Market firm, with good demand. Februa.ry-M.arch and March-May shipments sold at £2B 10s, New Zealand: No change to report. Up to the present no sign of trade interest expanding. Stocks in London at January 1 29 tons, against 30 tons at the samo lime last year.
