A meeting of the committee appointed to arrange for a sports mooting on Boxing Day last, and which was allowed to lapso on account of a fixture at To Horo, mot, last night when it was decided to return the donations made.

The marriage took place at the Methodist Church, Olaki, of Ena Winifred, daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Fogdcn, Lupin Road, Otaki, to Dan, son of Mrs T. Wilkinson, and the late Mr T. -Wilkinson, of Melbourne. Both the bridegroom and bride are well-known and aro very popular, being members of the Olaki State School stjiff. The church had been decorated by friends of the bride. Rev. Mr Raine, of Brooklyn, Wellington, officiated. A wedding solemnised at Chalmers’ Presbyterian Church, Olaki, yesterday afternoon, was that of Miss Fanny Elizabeth Dent, daughter of Mr and Mrs Dent, and Mr Raymond Menvood, son of Mr and Mrs R. Menvood. The church was decorated by friends of the bride, while there were quite a number of relatives and friends present to witness the ceremony.
