SPEEDWAY RECORDS.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 19. Riding at Western Springs speedway, the Australian motor-cyclist, Dick Case, established a New Zealand mile record for a quarter-mile cinder track by covering the distance in lmin. 13 4-ssec. He was attempting to break the world record of lmin. 12sec. established at Wentworth, Sydney, by \ r an Praag in 1932. In a handicap race later in the evening Case established another record by completing four laps in lmin. 18 l-ssec. from a standing start.
