COLYTON v. OLD BOYS.

Old Boys added 32 runs to their total of the previous week before the innings closed, the addition coming chiefly ' through Sugden’s 20, while Dewe carried his score to 40. The total left them 63 runs behind Colyton, who in a hurried attempt to increase the gap in their second innings lost several wickets cheaply. H. and M. Fitzherbert placed the side in a better position by a good stand which produced over 60 runs, and at 113 Colyton declared, leaving Old Boys 175 to get to win. The ex-sclioolboys made a good attempt, but again the rush against time brought penalties in its wake. Whitehead played a meteoric knock of a few minutes for 45 runs, but the effort could. not be sustained, the innings closing with Old Boys 69 runs short of the total.
