MR H. G. HALL’S CAREER.
FORMERLY OF LYTTON STREET SCHOOL. The announcement in the “Standard,” last night, that Mr H. G. Hall, headmaster of the Hamilton West School, had been appointed headmaster of the Belmont School, will be of interest to liis many friends in Feilding. It will be recalled that MiHall came to Feilding about six years ago from Lyall Bay school, on his appointment as headmaster at Lytton Street School. In his new charge Mr Hall showed himself possessed of exceptional administrative abilities, and he instituted several reforms which prevail in tlie school to this day. Among the innovations standing to his credit was the formation of the Lytton Street Parents’ Association, one of the first associatons in the district, and under liis energetic direction much good work was done by it. Of almost dynamic energies, Mr Hall never spared himself in the interests of tho school and children, and the splendid two nights’ concert he produced with tho Lytton Streot School talent is often heard spoken of up to the present. He was succeeded at Lytton Street after two years’ splendid service by Mr W. C. Wilson, now retired on superannuation. Mr Hall will be sincerely congratulated by his Feilding friends on his well-merited advancement.
