Charged with breaking and entering the shop of Olga Pool and the theft of women’s clothing, dress material and infant clothing valued at £34 4s 9d, Eric John Jones (26), a labourer, pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. Minnie O’Connor, charged with receiving clothing valued at £2l Is, pleaded guilty and was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if call ed upon within, twelve months. Percy William Aiills (24), a carrier, charged with obtaining sheepskins and hides valued at £9B 6s from Daniel AlcTaggart, of Featlierston, by falsely representing he was buying as the agent tor the Alanawatu Skin and Hide Company, pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial.
