Shortly after 9 a.m. to-day the Palmerston North Fire Brigade received a call to 17 Roy Street, to a house owned by. Mr Spooner, and occupied by Messrs F. Wickham and S. Morrison. Fire had broken out in 1 u y? 6 “house, where it quickly gained a hold. Prompt action on the part of vl®- ■however, prevented it from obtaining more than a momentary hold on the house itself. Apart from the wasn-house, little damage was done.
