FOREIGN AFFAIRS SPEECH. PARIS CIRCLES PLEASED. ITALIANS CYNICAL. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received December 7» 10.0 a.m. LONDON, Dec. 6. The speech of the Foreign Secretary (Sir Samuel Hoare) has created an excellent impression in official circles in Paris, especially in respect to his friendly affirmations to Italy. It is declared in Rome that Sir Samuel Hoare’s talk of a solution acceptable to the League, Italy, and Abyssinia is meaningless, just as assurances of friendship to Italy are not borne out by the facts.
