KITCHEN AND PANTRY EVENING.

Tlio West End School Hall was the scene of a bright function last evening, when over 50 friends of Miss Marjorie Clark and Mr C. Ax, who are shortly to he married, met to tender their good wishes. The guest of honour wore a charming anldelength frock of pink crepe-de-cheue, with a ring velvet cape. The hostesses who had arranged the function were Miss K. Coyle and Miss L. Patten. Miss Coyle was prettily attired in blue georgette, Miss Patten wearing blue satin beauto, trimmed with ♦ silver lame, and a black velvet coat with white fur. A programme of dancing, games and competitions was greatly enjoyed, Mr Lyle Smith acting as M.C. Tap dances by Miss J. Christian afforded pleasure. Winners of competitions were Miss B. Perrin, Miss M. Ax and Mr L. Fenton. Miss Fenton, Mr A. Burt and Mr H. Parlane presided at the piano. At a suitable juncture, the M.C. called upon Miss Clark to open a wide array, of kitchen and pantry articles, and wished her and Mr Ax future happiness. Mr Ax suitably replied, and lie and Miss Clark were accorded musical honours. Supper wms served as an interlude in the programme, the ladies in charge being Mesdames J. Covie, S. Clark, B. V. Webber and W. Thompson. The function terminated . at midnight. Thanks were conveyed to those who had contributed to the programme.
