POST OFFICE REVENUE

INCREASES RECORDED. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 20. Speaking at Riversdale the Postmas-ter-General (Hon. A. Hamilton) said the Post and Telegraph Department was probabily the best barometer to indicate the trend of business in the Dominion. He had just received the results for the seven months ended October 31. These showed that postages had increased by £62,000, the telegraph revenue by £I6OO, the toll revenue by £33,(XX), and telephone exchange rentals by £14,000. The total amount in the Post Office Savings Bank was now £51,100,000, the highest figures ever recorded in the Dominion.
