CAPTAIN HONOURED.

Received November 21, 8.40 a.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 21. The Consul for Finland (Mr P. Sinielius), on behalf of tke President of the Finland Republic, lias invested Captain A. H. Davey, of the Monowai, with the Order of the AVhite Rose of Finland. The order is in recognition of Captain Davey’s action when, on April 29 last year, lie put the Monowai off her course and raced to answer the radio appeal of the Finnish barque Favell, taking off a member of the crew who was suffering from appendicitis, and who was successfully operated oil in AVellington.
