Victoria’s slow bowlers, Gregory and Smith, triumphed, gaining for Victoria a lead of 80 on the first innings. Gregory’s display of slow bowling was rewarded with five wickets ior 69. Smith and Plant share the other W 1 Victoria went in for a second kno-k and after Rigg (59 not out) had completed a good double innings and looked like being unbeaten Victoria declared to give the Englishmen an hour s batting. LEG-BEFORE RULE.
USE IN NEW SOUTH WALES
SYDNEY, Nov. ]9. The New South Wales Cricket Association has decided to use the new leg-before rule in grade games. The rule will apply in district cricket in all States this season, but not to Shield cricket.
