AT BRITISH PORTS. LONDON, Nov. 18. With the application of sanctions today a special watch for Italian goods is being kept at all British ports, at which the Customs organisation has been strengthened. A Customs official told the Dally Herald that he did not anticipate real difficulty in enforcing sanctions. Shrewd officials of great experience had been detailed to counteract the many attempts at evasion which are anticiPelted# _ . The Italian Chamber of Trade in London has issued a statement saying that sanctions will hurt Britain more than Italy, and adding that the balance of trade has been for some time in favour of Britain.
