WRESTLING

CISTOLDI LEAVES RING. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. A “winner-take-all” wrestling match between “Lofty” Blomfield and Angelo Cistoldi to-night became a sort of semilegalised free fight which ended in the seventh round when Cistoldi retired to his dressiiigroom after much incoherent protesting. Just previously he had been elbow jolted round the ring and then heaved out on to the floor of the hall. Ho paid at least six similar visits to the front row seats during the course of the most hectic wrestling seen in Wellington since the days of Billy Edwards.

When hostilities ceased with Cistoldi’s departure the pair were all square, Cistoldi having taken a fall with a Boston crab in the fourth round and Blomfield evening with a press following a series of jolts to the jaw in the sixth.
