GAOL FOR FORGERY.
Received September 28, 9.10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 27. Lord Edward Montagu was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment for forging Mrs Van Der List’s signature in the endorsement of a cheque while acting as her secretary. Mrs Van Der Elst has been prominent in her demonstrations • against the imposition of death sentences.
