AUSTRALIANS AT WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 25.; In a high scoring game, the visiting Australian Rugby League team to-day defeated a combined team from Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, and Canterbury, at Wellington, by 45 points (11 tries and six goals) to 31 (seven tries and five goals). The Australians overshadowed the combined team in every department of the game and at one stage a win by a much bigger margin looked likely.
