SOCIAL EVENING. ■ There was a good attendance at the euchre and ping-pong evening held at Alakino, and a happy function resulted. Interest was added tor the games by married couples winning both prizes, Air and Airs Scbreiber carrying off the firsts and Air and Airs T. Shalders the sealed trophies. The donors of the trophies were 'Airs AVilton and Air J. Pearson. A dance followed and music was supplied by Airs Votier (piano) and her brother (cornet). Aliss Jean Stuart-Aloray (piano) 1 and Air Austin (accordion).

A start on. the alterations to the hnl! is to be made immediately and the committee, as well as district residents, are looking forward to seeing the building enlarged so that more space will be allowed for dancing and social entertainments in general.
