LONDON MARKETS FIRM. Joseph Nathan and Coy., Ltd., have received from London the following cabled advice, dated September 24:—Now Zealand butter, finest, 115 s; first, 112 s. New Zealand cheeso, 58s. Now Zeuland finest grade, 114 s to 115 s; first grade, Ills to 112 s. Danish, 130 s. Cheese market firm. New Zoaland white and coloured, 57s 6d to 58s. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. STRONG JAPANESE COMPETITION. SYDNEY, Sept. 25. At the wool sales to-day 7692 bales wore offered, 6466 being sold at auction, and also 305 privately. Competition was strong from Japanese buyers, with good support from the Continent, and also from Yorkshire on suitable linee. Late rates were fully maintained. Greasy Merino made up to 20d. PEDIGREE PIG SALE. HIGH PRICE FOR SOW. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Sept. 25. At the annual sale of the Mountley pedigree pig stud property of Mr A. T. Rogers, of Ngaruawahia, at Claudelands to-day, a pedigree Taimvorth sow was purchased on behalf of Mr W. Gregory, of New South Wales, for 55gns. This is said to be one of the highest prices for a pig paid at any similar sale in the Dominion. KING’S PURCHASE OF SUFFOLK SHEEP. Thirty pounds a head for a pen of 10 shearling ewes was given at the Suffolk Society’s 6ale at lpswick in August. This pen had been awarded the first prize in the competition held in connection with the show. The King, who is patron of the society, has decided to start a flock of the breed, and purchased three pens of 10 from Mr Stuart Paul, of Kirton Lodge, lpswick, giving up to £9 2s 6d.
