WAGE LEVEL RISES. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Sept. 22. The Ministry of Agriculture’s latest report on the working of the Agricultural Wages Act shows that by the end of March last the general average of weekly minimum rates of wages or agricultural "workers was slightlv lugher than the figure at which it stood Before the reduction resulting from the financial crisis of 1931. The downward movement ceased in June, 1933, and the upward trend has continued since.
