Miss Nita Rosslyn, who has been on a five years’ tour of the world by bicycle, has arrived in the city and is the guest of Mrs M. Palmer, of Lombard ytreet.
The Palmerston North Rotary Club, at its weekly luncheon yesterday, passed a resolution of deep condolence with the family of the late Mr W. J. Day, a member of the club for ten years’ and well-known as a visitor to the Napier, Dannevirke and Gisborne Clubs The Gisborne Club forwarded a message expressing its profound regret at Mr Day’s sudden passing. Brigadier Middlemiss, of the Salvation Army, whose death occurred suddenly at Nightcaps, on Sunday, was stationed in Palmerston North about 1919, his rank at that time being adjutant. He proceeded to the Putaruru Boys Farm and was stationed there for some time prior to being appointed to the Peoptes Palace in Christchurch while two months ago he was appointI ed to the Otago-Southland district
