OBITUARY
MRS F. DANVERS. A member of a well-known Manawatu family, Mrs F. Danvers, of Auckland, passed away in the northern city on Friday. The deceased lady, who was born at Wainui-o-Mata, was a daughter of Mrs and the late Mr Duncan Sinclair, of Palmerston North, and she spent her girlhoqd days here. For many years Mrs Danvers was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, her marriage having been the first to be solemnised in the new church. There are left to mourn their loss a husband, two sons, and ono daughter, all of whom are resident in Auckland. Mrs Danvers is also survived by her mother, three brothers— Messrs Hugh, Norman, and Harold Sinclair —and two sisters—Mrs J. Louisson and Mrs C. A. Pierre—of Palmerston North.
The funeral took place at Auckland yesterday afternoons
MR WILLIAM NORTH
The death occurred at Wellington last week of Mr William North, who was at one time a resident of Palmerston North. He was for over 20 years in the employ of Messrs R. Hannah and Coy., Ltd., in Wellington, leaving to commence in business in Palmerston North, and remaining here for a number of years. He returned to Wellington, ’ entering the ofhee of Messrs WiTberfoss and Co., accountants, and was connected with the Gilmer and McGuire estate until it was taken over by the Public Trustee. He then joined the firm of Messrs Bing Harris and Coy., Ltd., and was in its employ at the time of his death. A great Rugby enthusiast in his younger days, Mr North captained the old Carlton Club in Wellington, while during his residence here he was a prominent player in the mid-week competitions. Mr North left a widow and one son, Mr John North, of Wellington.
