S U JIME R-LIKE CON DITIONS. MANAWATU BEAT WANGANUI. G. AND C. CUT CONTESTS. Summer-like weather prevailed for Rugby matches on Saturday. In a free-scoring game at Johnston Park, Feilding, Manawatu registered their sixth win for the season by defeating Wanganui by 25 points to 11. The inter-club subsidiary series were proceeded with. Feilding upsetting matters by defeating Feilding Old Boys, the 1935 champions, the game being presented as a curtain-raiser to the representative fixture. At the Showgrounds St. Patrick’s, who had played off with Feilding Old Boys for the championship, suffered defeat by Old Boys, who now remain the only ■unbeaten club. They have still to meet Feilding Old Boys. Two finals were also staged in the lower grades. United beating Old Boys, the junior champions, in the final of the Rogers Cup after a hardfought struggle, while High School A beat Kia Toa in the final of the fifth grade.
