BARROW PUSHERS.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 14. Messrs Lukey and Schofield, who recently made a barrow trip from Auckland to Wellington, leave for the South Island on Monday to do the trip from Bluff to Christchurch, 400 miles, starting from the Bluff Post Office on September 23. Lukey said lie wanted to make a trip harder than the previous one. He aims to do 20 miles a day instead of 16, getting to a town each night. The iongest stretch will be Oamara to Waimate, 30 miles. A detour will be made from the main road to include Wyndliam.
