Every year aces new enthusiasts displaying the results of their skilful hybridising and cultivation on the show benches. Rongotea show lias ever been foremost with its encouragement to exhibitors, and the 23rd annual show to be held next week promises to eclipse any previous efforts. The schedule is comprehensive, and the prize money and trophies arc on a generous scale. The society is fortunate in having secured the services of Mr A. Trenknor as secretary. The evening session should be particularly attractive, as Mr Garde Grimshaw, of Palmerston North, is arranging a programme of items for the entertainment of those who attend.
