FALL DOWN CLIFF.

BOY’S FORTUNATE ESCAPE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 15. Falling from the top of a 40-foot cliff at the foreshore at Northcote yesterday, a 13-year-old boy, Keith Rogers Bezzant, of Northcote, fortunately had his progress arrested by a clump of gorse about 15 feet down the cliff face, and he escaped with an injury to the left shoulder.

The lad had beep standing on top of the cliff with some other children. He was very near the edge and suddenly some loose earth gave way and precipitated him down the cliff face. After a sheer drop of 15 feet he had his fall broken by a clump of gorse and managed to remain on the ledge of the cliff.

Help was brought bv the other children and the boy was extricated from liis plight. He was later taken to the Auckland Hospital, his condition today not being serious.
