Roman pottery dating back to the period of the first four centuries after Christ lias been unearthed at Trier, in the course of excavations carried out under the auspices of the Provincial Aluseum there, thus establishing beyond doubt the fact that Trier was one of the most important pottery towns of the Rhine and Aloscl region in Roman times.
