PURCHASES FOR NEW ZEA-

LAND. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. Mr C. E. Robertson, of Wellington, arrived by the Maklira to-day from San Francisco. He said he had bought approximately 40 head of pedigree cattle, including Polled Herefords, Polled Shorthorns, Aberdeen Angus, Horned Herefords, and Jerseys for breeder clients of his firm in the Auckland, Gisborne, Wanganui. Wairarapa, Marten, Canterbury, and Southland districts. They are on their way, some from New York, and some from Los Angeles. In America he motored 8000 miles, flew 3500, and did 3500 by rail. 11c had judged by invitation the Aberdeen Angus cattle at the lowa State Fair, flic third or fourth loading show in America.
