A STRONGER GERMANY

HERR HITLER’S CALL

NO LONGER DEFENCELESS.

ATTITUDE TO RELIGION.

(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) lteceivcd September 12, 9.45 a.in. NUREMBERG, Sept. 11.

At the opening of the Nazi Congress, Herr Wagner read* Herr Hitler’s proclamation in which he said: — “Germany is no longer the world’s defenceless plaything. The most precious and proudest property is our army. We shall retain power and shall strike down every opposition directly it shows itself.

“We do not intend to fight Christian religion, but will not tolerate the continuance of political activities of different confessions under any disguise. We shall strengthen the German Reich through the army and make it more safe.” Thousands of Brown Shirts cheered themselves hoarse on hearing the proclamation.

Herr Hess followed with a panegyric on the new Germany, especially the army. He said:—“lt is not the army’s duty to conquer foreign lands. Wherever war breaks out Moscow has a hand in it. Germany is determined never to let the. victory she won over Bolshevism be taken from her, and never let Jewish agents of a foreign Power regain their influence in German affaire.”
