PRICE REDUCED
LONDON, Sept. 10.
Following the removal of the excise duty from staple hbre, tlie largest rayon producers have, added a cut of three half-pence, making the price lid instead of loid a pound.
Commenting on the removal of excise duty from fibre, the Daily Telegraph stated that staple fibre offered a valuable alternative for wool and cotton, and, being cheaper, would increase British textile manufacturers’ competitive power abroad.
