NOTES.

As the result of the Spanish village dance held on Monday night under the auspices of the Feilding Plunket Society. the funds of tlie society will lienefit to the extent of about £7O. This very encouraging result will do much to assist the society in carrying out its work locally. There were several new children enrolled at both the primary schools in Fcikling on Monday, when they reopened after the term holiday. The Manchester Street School increased its roll number by eight and at Lytton Street about the same number came forward. It is pointed out that parents are perhaps not aware of the fact that any child who attains the age of six years before February 1 next, may now attend school.
