WRESTLING.
ANDRESON v. WADE. 10-niglit, at the Opera House, 010 Andreson and Glenn Wade will come to grips under the auspices of the P.N.W.A. On the latter's appearance here last month, when he won from Jaget Singh, Wade made a most favourable impression and the large audience were in agreement that as an exhibition of scientific wrestling, without what is called “showmanship,” he had shown us the best samples we have ever seen. His work is fast, and he has a variety of holds in his repertoire, that can he called on at a second’s notice. His forcing of the pace against the Indian gave him the verdict, and this has been his method ever since his first appearance in New Zealand. The general public do not know as much about Andreson, but any man who can draw with McOready is entitled to the very highest • respect in his avocation, especially when the Dunedin papers all agree that Andreson was winning handsomely on points until the Big Canadian brought out his surprise packet. The preliminaries will bo found in four finals of the amateur championships, and these are creating more than ordinary interest. The box plans may bo seen at the Opera House from 2 o’clock until 5 p.m. for the convenience of the Wednesday halfholiday public.
