HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
The annual daffodil show of the Palmerston North Horticultural Society will be held in the Empire Hall on Saturday next. There is every indication that entries will be numerous. The shows staged by the society always receive the highest commendation from patrons, both as to the display and the setting out of exhibits. New exhiibtors are always welcome, and the committee will be only too pleased to assist them in any way. Alembers of Women’s Institutes are requested to note there are special classes for them. The committee, desiring to see a large attendance, has decided to reduce admission prices to 6d and it is trusted that hopes will be realised. The show will be open continuously from 2 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. The secretary will be at the Empire Hall on Friday evening from 7 o’clock to receive entries. If it is more convenient for some exhiibtors, exhibits will be also received. Entries may also be telephoned to 7227 before 6 p.m. on Friday.
