MAHARAHARA.

AIAHARAHARA, Sept. 10. A euchre tourney and dance in aid of the school funds was held in the Alaharahara School on Friday night. Owing to counter-attractions there was a smaller attendance than usual. The first part of the evening was devoted to a euchre tournament. Alesdames AVardle and Hawkins tied for the ladies’ first prize, the former winning on the cut, so til© latter took the second prize. Air AVardle again won the men’s first prize, while the second went to Air Scott. The points prizes for the season were presented to Airs G. Hawkins and Air J. Harris. After supper had been handed round an adjournment was made to the other room for dancing, to music supplied by. Air Gleadow, an extra being played by Air Scott. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Air G. Harris. This was the wind-up social of tlio season.
