ADDRESS-IN-REPLY SPEECHES
MORE NEW BILLS PROMISED
The Address-in-Reply debate was continued when the House of Representatives resumed yesterday afternoon, the member for Lyttelton (Mr T. 11. McCombs) making 1 his maiden speech. A feature of the debate was the quest by the Independent member for Egmont (Mr C. A. Wilkinson) for information from the Labour Party concerning its guaranteed price scheme; he described Labour members’ speeches as vague. Notice of the introduction of several new Government Bills was given.
