SOCCER OR RUGBY?
ALLEGATION OF SNOBBERY. Received September 11, 1.5 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 10. Mr S. I'’. Rous, secretary of the Football Association, speaking at the meeting of the British Association, condemned “anti-soccer”” "snobberv for which lie blamed schoolmasters in regarding Rugby as socially superior. Mr Rous added that a London headmaster last year threatened to punish pupils attending soccer matches. On the contrary, the All Blacks when they arrived were anxious to see soccer.
