TAY BRIDGE SMASH.

A MACABRE HEIRLOOM. FOR NEW ZEALAND. Received September 10. 9.40 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 9. __ A macabre heirloom is going to a New Zealand railwayman, in accordance with the will of his father, who was the stationmaster and collected the tickets before the train crashed off the Tay Bridge in the disaster in 1879. The tickets were mounted in a frame made of timber from the wreck«ige.

The North British mail train was blown off the bridge in a gale, with heavy loss of life, between 70 and 80 perishing. A gap of 3000 ft was created.
