(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Sept. 4. Tho frost in Otaki yesterday morning was the heaviest so far this season, degrees being registered. Tho Otaki Children’s Health camp benefited to the extent of over £2 as the result of the visit of the members of the Wellington Competitions Society to Otaki on Sunday. The vital statistics for Otaki for August wereßirths: European 3, Maori 2. Deaths: European nil, Maori nil. Marriage licenses issued, 3. Mr J. Pilcher, intends to return to the South Island. During their stay Mr and Mrs Pilcher have made many friends, all of whom will regret to learn that they arc leaving the district.
