GREETINGS TO M. PADEREWSKI. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. Aug. 31. The New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association recently posted greetings to M. Ignace Jan Paderewski, the only honorary life member of the association. In Julv, 1927, M. Paderewski donated £SOO. the proceeds of his Chopin pianoforte recital in Wellington, for the relief of necessitous soldiers in New Zealand. The fund lias been used by the Dominion headquarters of the association to assist a great number of returned soldiers and their denendents.
The message gave an indication of the type of cases which have been assisted and was despatched to reach M. Paderewski on November 6, his 75th birthday.
