BUTTER FIRM AT 975. BETTER CHEESE MARKET. Josoph Nathan and Coy Ltd., have received from London tho following cabled advice, dated August 29:—New Zealand butter, 975. J. and J. Lonsdale and Go., Ltd., London, report as follows; —Butter market very firm; undertone strong. New Zealand, 975. Australian, 965. Danish, 94s f.0.b., 115 s landed. Cheese market steady. White, 49s 6d; coloured, 49s 6d. A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd., London, give the following market prices ns ruling at tho close of business on Thursday:—Butter: The market is firm. New Zealand finest, 96s to 975; firsts. 955; Australian, choicest, 965; first grade, 955; Danish (spot), 110 s to 112 s; (f.0.b.), 935; Baltic States, 88s to 90s; Siberian, 87s to 89s. Cheese; The market is steady. New Zealand white, 49s 6d to 50s; coloured, 49s to 49s 6d; Canadian, white and coloured, 52s to 545. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., are advised as follows: —Butter market firm. Danish f.0.b., 94s (88s f.0.b.) ; New Zealand finest salted, 96s to 97s (94s to 955) ; Australian finest umladted, 100 s to 102 s (100 s to 102 s);, finest, salted. 95s to 96s (93s to 945) ; g.a.q., 90s to 92s (9ls). Cheese market firm. Now Zealand cheese, white 50s (49s to 49 6d) ; coloured, 49s 6d (48s to 48s 6d) : spot price for Canadian white, 52s to 53s (50s to 655); coloured. 52s to 53s (50s to 665).
