PRESENTATION.
On the eve of her departure from the firm of Messrs Mclntyre, Taylor and Seddon, with whom she has l>een engaged for nine years, Miss C. Gilford was last evening farewelled by the principals and staff of the firm.' On behalf of the staff. Miss A. Page presented Miss Gifford with a camera and leather case, suitably inscribed, and expressed the regret her fellow-mem-bers of the staff felt at her departure. Mr N. Fitzpatrick also conveyed the good wishes of the staff to the departing member. From the principals of the firm Miss Gifford received two substantial cheques, one from the original firm of Mclntyre and Taylor and another one from the present partnership, the three members of the firm voicing their appreciation of Miss Gifford's services during the time she has been in their employ. Miss Gifford returned her thanks for the gifts and the many kindnesses shown her. She leaves the firm to-day and in about seven weeks' time leaves New Zealand for Sydney •en route to India to join the Baptist Church mission service.
