LOCAL MANDARINS.
Ripe mandarins have been gathered at Hangitano by Mr G. W. Alve in the course of the past month. Several specimens of the fruit were brought to the “Standard” today and proved to be well developed, I'ull-liavoured and juicy. As a table delicacy they were quite equal to the genera, standard ol imported mandarins and supplies from other parts of the Dominion.
