FATAL INJURIES

MISHAP TO PEDESTRIAN. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 29. Injuries which later proved fatal were received by a middle-aged woman believed to bo Mrs Violet Rush, of Takapuna, when she was knocked down by a motor-car at Takapuna. Mrs Rush was crossing the road and had passed behind a motor-car travelling toward Devonport, when she was struck by another motor-car driven*by Mr Douglas Broady, on Northcote, which was proceeding in the opposite direction. She was thrown on to the pavement with considerable force, and received a fractured skull.
