LIFE IMPRISONMENT.

CASE AT PERTH. Received August 30, 10.30 a.in. PERTH, Aug. 30. Matthew Walsh, Stanley Flynn, and Cyril Brennan were found guilty of manslaughter of Edgar Whitiield, and Charles Silverman was found not guilty. Walsh and Flynn were sentenced to imprisonment for lilfe, with hard, labour, and Brennan to ten years’ imprisonment. Silverman was rearrested and charged with having received stolen goods. Four men, Matthew Walsh, Charles Silverman, Stanley Flynn, and Cyril Brennan, were on August 2 committed for trial oil the charge of the wilful murder of Edgar \\ nitfieid, a watchman in a jewellery store, on July 5. Detective O’Keefe, of Melbourne, gave evidence that Walsh in u statement had said that Flynn and lie had entered Can's Brothers’ jewellery store and attacked Whitfield, and when the caretaker fell .to the floor he (Walsh) took diamonds from the window.
