MAIN TRUNK LINE.
SERVICE BACK TO NORMAL
Per Press Association. TAUMARUNUI, Aug. 28.
Since three o’clock yesterday afternoon all trains on the Main Trunk line have passed the danger point near Ongarue without delay, arriving at Taumarunui on schedule. After tb& removal of the pumice the line was found to be intact, and there was no subsidence. 'The slip made a large cavity in the bank and there should be little danger of another heavy fall if the water is drained away. Mr Caskey (previously reported as “Casuey ) is still in hospital with no serious development. He is still suffering a little from bruises and shock.
