PLANS FOR TOUR. Received August 28, 8.5 a.m SIDNEY, Aug. 2b. The following Rugby League team has been chosen for the tour ot New Zealand: — ... Full-backs.—J. Whittle (Queensland) and L. Ward. Three-quarters: R. Hines, H. Robinson (Queensland), R. McKinnon, W. Mahon (Queensland!, D. Brown. Five-eighth: V. Hey (Queensland). Half-backs : r. Gilbert (Queensland), V. Thicknesse. Forwards: M. Shields, P. hairall, I. Carr an, M. Bichel (Queensland), K* Stehr, J. Gibbs, S. Pearce, E. Lewis, W. Prigg, E. Collins (Queensland). All except the Queensland players are from New South Wales. The Board of Control last night decided that the financial arrangements with New Zealand be on a 50-50 basis. The team leaves here by the Monterey on September 18 and returns on October 10. The captain is Dave Brown, and the vice-captain V. Hey. The following is the itinerary: —September 21, v. Auckland, at Auckland . September 25, v. combined team, at Wellington; September 28, v. New Zealand, at Auckland; October 2. a match at Auckland, or in the vicimQ , October 5, v. New Zealand, at Aikkland; October 9. a match at Auckland, or in the vicinity.
